Wind Capital Group (WCG) has a proven record in wind farm development and a pipeline of over 2,000 megawatts (MW) across nine Midwestern states in the US.
   
WCG successfully secured financing for the 150 MW Lost Creek wind farm in Missouri. In May 2010, the project achieved commercial operation ahead of schedule, under budget and with a clean safety record.
 
             
 
2010 marked the opening of Stirling Energy Systems’ first commercial-scale SunCatcher plant at Maricopa in Phoenix, Arizona. Over 100,000 operational hours have now been achieved at this 1.5 MW plant.
   
Totalling more than 1,350 MW, Tessera Solar’s Californian-based solar projects represent two of the most ambitious projects to be permitted in the US. Each project received both State and Federal Government approval.
             
Greens Plains Renewable Energy, Inc (NASDAQ: GPRE), in which NTR had a 35.82% associate holding at year end, made strong progress during the year and is now North America’s fourth largest ethanol producer.
   
GPRE’s acquisition of Global Ethanol, LLC, subsequent to the year end has increased its ethanol production capacity by 31%. GPRE now markets and distributes more than one billion gallons of ethanol production annually.
 
             
 
Greenstar Ireland provides services to over 70,000 households and 12,500 business customers, handling over 1 million tonnes annually and is a market leader in advanced recycling, recovery and waste minimisation.
   
Greenstar North America opened a new recycling facility in San Antonio, Texas. The plant is among the largest, most automated single stream facilities in North America.
